Attendance and shifts
Clock in and out with location, shift rosters, leave requests. Simple, high-frequency, and immediately useful.
App Development · Delhi NCR & remote
Consumer apps have to persuade somebody to install and return. An internal app does not — the job requires it. That single difference makes internal apps a far better bet than customer ones.
Short answer
Business app development builds mobile applications for your own staff rather than for customers: attendance, approvals, field reporting, stock checks, delivery confirmation. Because adoption is guaranteed by the role, the install barrier that defeats most consumer apps does not apply.
Four details. A real reply the same day, from me.
01 The premise
Almost everything that makes consumer app projects fail is absent from internal ones. Nobody has to be persuaded to install it, because using it is part of the job. Nobody abandons it after two weeks, because the work continues. There is no store listing to optimise, no reviews to manage, and frequently no public store review at all.
What remains is the genuine question: is a phone actually better than what people do now? For field staff, drivers, engineers and shop-floor teams, usually yes — they are not at a desk, and the camera and location are useful rather than decorative. For office staff at a computer all day, usually not, and a web application is the better answer.
The other advantage is distribution. Internal apps can be deployed directly to company devices without public store review, which removes both a delay and a category of rejection risk. Updates go out when you decide rather than when a reviewer approves.
02 Typical apps
Ordered by how often they are requested.
Clock in and out with location, shift rosters, leave requests. Simple, high-frequency, and immediately useful.
Site visits, service reports, inspections — with photographs, location and offline capability.
Managers approving purchases, discounts or leave from a phone rather than from a desk.
Workflow AutomationBarcode scanning for counts, goods receipt and picking. The camera is the reason it is an app.
Route, delivery confirmation, signature and photograph. Standard in logistics.
Order capture, customer lookup, price checks in the field. Frequently the fastest payback of all.
03 Requirements
Adoption is guaranteed, but resentment is not prevented.
Free process review
Paper forms, WhatsApp photographs, notes retyped later — each one marks a process that a phone could capture directly and feed into your systems.
Four details, and a real reply today.
04 Distribution
Internal apps do not have to go through public stores.

Considerably. Adoption is guaranteed by the role, there is no install barrier to overcome, no store listing to optimise, no reviews to manage, and frequently no public store review at all. The remaining question is simply whether a phone genuinely beats what people do now.
No. They can be distributed directly to company devices, pushed through mobile device management, or published to a private managed store. That avoids public review entirely and lets you release updates when you decide rather than when a reviewer approves.
For field staff, always. Signal drops in basements, warehouses, lifts and rural areas, and an app that loses a half-completed report is an app people stop trusting. Actions should queue locally and sync when the connection returns.
Technically yes, and it should be handled carefully. If the app records location, tell staff plainly what is recorded and why. Covert tracking discovered later damages trust far more than the data was ever worth.
Yes, with distribution suited to that — a private store listing or a public listing behind a login. It also means supporting a wider range of devices, including older ones, which is worth deciding during scoping.
A web application for office staff at a computer — no install, works everywhere, easier to update. An app for field staff who need the camera, location and offline capability. The deciding factor is where the work happens, not what sounds more modern.
