Meta Ads · Delhi NCR & remote
A lead form that pre-fills name, email and phone can be completed in two taps — sometimes accidentally, often idly. Volume goes up, and so does the share of people who barely meant it.
Short answer
Facebook lead ads open a pre-filled form inside the app rather than sending people to a website. Removing the friction increases volume and reduces intent. Making them work depends on adding deliberate friction through qualifying questions, delivering leads instantly to wherever your team works, and contacting them within minutes.
Four details. A real reply the same day, from me.
01 The premise
Conversion advice repeats one instruction endlessly: remove friction. For lead ads that advice is actively harmful, because friction is the only thing filtering intent. When a form pre-fills from the user’s profile and submits in two taps, you receive submissions from people who were mildly curious and are already scrolling on.
The fix is to reintroduce a small amount of deliberate friction. One qualifying question — budget range, timeline, what specifically they need — reduces volume noticeably and improves quality more than it costs. Meta also offers a higher intent form option that adds a confirmation step, which is worth using for anything where your sales time is valuable.
The second half is speed. A lead generated by impulse decays fast, and a form filled in on a phone at 9pm is worth far more at 9.05pm than at 11am tomorrow. Businesses that route leads to an email inbox somebody checks twice a day are converting a fraction of what they paid for, and then concluding that Meta leads are poor.
02 Form design
Each one trades some volume for quality, which is almost always the right trade.
03 Follow-up
The campaign ends when the lead arrives. This is the part that decides the money.

Within minutes if at all possible. Impulse decays, and somebody else is also advertising.
Most leads are not reached on the first attempt. Three attempts across a few days recovers a meaningful share.
If they will not answer calls, message them. In India WhatsApp frequently succeeds where a phone call fails.
Qualified, unqualified, sold. Then feed it back to Meta, which is how lead quality improves over time.

04 Measurement
Cost per lead is the number that makes bad campaigns look good.

These sit next to Facebook lead ads and are usually bought with it. Same person doing the work in each case.

Straight answers, including the ones that cost me work. If yours is not here, ask it — I reply the same day.
Because the form is too easy to complete. Pre-filled fields and two-tap submission collect people who were mildly curious. Adding one qualifying question and using the higher-intent form type reduces volume and improves quality substantially.
Within minutes wherever possible. These leads are generated by impulse and that impulse decays quickly. The gap between contacting within five minutes and contacting the next morning is the single largest controllable factor in whether they convert.
Yes, through a direct integration or a webhook. This should be set up before the first campaign runs. Downloading a CSV from Meta once a day is how leads go cold, and it is still surprisingly common.
Test both against cost per qualified lead. Lead forms produce more, cheaper, colder leads; landing pages produce fewer, warmer ones because the visitor read something first. Which is better depends on your sales capacity.
One or two that genuinely qualify: budget range, timeline, or the specific service needed. Enough to filter idle curiosity, not so many that serious enquirers abandon it. One well-chosen question does most of the work.
Add a qualifying question, use the higher-intent form, and consider asking the phone number to be typed rather than pre-filled. Also send offline conversions back to Meta so the algorithm learns which leads were real and optimises towards them.
