The words
What customers call it. Usually a symptom, an outcome or a problem — almost never the professional term.
SEO · Delhi NCR & remote
A clinic lists “platelet-rich plasma therapy”. The patient searches “hair falling out treatment”. Both are describing the same appointment, and only one of them is going to be typed into Google.
Short answer
Industry-specific SEO adapts search strategy to how a particular sector’s customers actually behave: the words they use rather than the industry’s own terminology, the season when demand appears, the regulations limiting what may be claimed, and the objection that has to be answered before anyone enquires.
Four details. A real reply the same day, from me.
01 The premise
Every industry develops precise internal language, and that precision is exactly what makes it useless for search. Surgeons, lawyers, engineers and builders all name things accurately and differently from the people who buy from them. A site written in the industry’s own words is invisible to its own customers.
This is not a matter of dumbing down. Both vocabularies belong on the site: the customer’s words at the top, where they arrive and need confirmation they are in the right place, and the professional terms further down, where they establish that you actually know what you are doing. The mistake is leading with the second.
The second sector variable is time. Admissions have a season, travel has a booking window, tax services have a deadline, air conditioning has a summer. Content published two months before demand appears ranks by the time it matters. Content published during the peak is too late, every year.
02 The variables
These four questions change the entire strategy, and none of them are in a keyword tool.
What customers call it. Usually a symptom, an outcome or a problem — almost never the professional term.
When demand actually appears, and therefore when content has to be published and ads have to run.
What may legally be claimed. Healthcare, finance and education all restrict this, and platforms enforce their own limits on top.
The one thing the buyer is quietly worried about. Whichever site answers it first usually gets the enquiry.
03 Sectors
Each links to a page written about that sector rather than about SEO with the noun changed.

04 Research
Keyword tools are the last step, not the first.
Your enquiry forms, WhatsApp messages and call notes are the best keyword source that exists. They contain your customers’ actual words.
Where people ask about your sector before contacting anyone. The phrasing there is the phrasing they type into Google.
When demand appears, and therefore when content must exist. Published in the peak is published too late.
What may be claimed, what platforms will approve, and what needs a disclaimer. Cheaper to know now.
Volumes and difficulty, applied to a list built from real language rather than to whatever the tool suggested first.

Because the technique is generic and the judgement is not. Which words customers use, when demand appears, what may legally be claimed and what objection blocks the sale are all sector knowledge. Getting those wrong makes technically competent SEO commercially useless.
By reading what customers already say — your enquiries, your call notes, your reviews, and the forums where people ask about your sector before they contact anyone. That is more accurate than any keyword tool, because it is your actual market rather than an estimate.
Both, in the right order. Customer language in headings and opening paragraphs, where people arrive and decide they are in the right place. Professional terminology further down, where it establishes competence. Leading with the technical term is the common and expensive mistake.
Yes, with care. Healthcare, finance and education all restrict what may be claimed, and ad platforms enforce their own policies on top. That constrains the copy, not the channel. I would rather write something that passes review than something that gets an account suspended.
It changes the calendar entirely. Content needs to exist and be indexed before demand arrives, which usually means publishing two to three months ahead. Businesses that start creating content when the season begins are permanently one cycle behind their competitors.
The method transfers; the specifics do not. I would tell you plainly that part of the first month is me learning how your customers buy — reading your enquiries, your competitors and your forums. That is honest, and it is quicker than it sounds.
