Explaining a 40ft trailer to a procurement manager.

A heavy-haulage operator in Nawada, New Delhi with fifteen years behind it, a branch in Jaipur, and a website that did none of that justice.

The brief

Big Wheels moves things that do not fit on a normal truck — over-dimensional consignments, project cargo for manufacturers, containers for import and export, and full truck loads across fourteen to forty foot vehicles in open and closed body.

Every enquiry arrived by phone, from people who already knew them. The problem with that is not the phone — it is that the buyer for this service is a logistics or procurement manager who researches before calling, needs to know you can handle their specific load, and will quietly rule you out if the website does not prove it.

  • Explain five genuinely different services without turning the homepage into a wall of text
  • Show the fleet specifically enough that a buyer can match it to their load
  • Get a quote request out of a B2B visitor who is comparing three vendors
  • Be findable for the specific searches that manager actually types
02

The approach

The structure came from the buyer, not from a template. A procurement manager does not browse — they arrive looking for one specific thing, usually the cargo type or the vehicle size. So each of the five services got a page of its own rather than a paragraph on a shared one, and the fleet became a directory rather than a photo gallery.

The second decision was to stop treating the quote request as an afterthought. In logistics the enquiry is the sale — nothing is bought off the shelf, everything is priced per job — so “Get a Free Quote” became the single repeated action across the whole site rather than a link buried in a contact page.

  • Service-first sitemap. Over-dimensional, project handling, domestic transport, special cargo and warehousing, each with its own page and its own search intent.
  • Fleet as a specification table. Eleven truck varieties with sizes and body types, so a buyer can self-qualify before calling.
  • Quote request on every page. Plus phone, WhatsApp and a contact form, because B2B buyers split fairly evenly between them.
  • Two locations treated properly. Delhi head office and the Jaipur branch given real presence rather than one line in a footer.

What shipped

A Core PHP build — no page builder, no theme — so the site loads fast on the mobile connections these buyers are usually on, and so new service pages can be added without touching anything else.

  • Homepage built around the five services and the fleet, not around a slider
  • Five dedicated service pages, each targeting its own search
  • Fleet directory covering eleven vehicle types with specifications
  • “Get a Free Quote” form, click-to-call and WhatsApp on every screen
  • Testimonials and an FAQ section answering the objections that come up on calls
  • A blog section for industry content, to build relevance for the harder search terms
  • On-page SEO across every page — titles, headings, internal links, schema
04

What changed

The site now does the qualifying that used to happen on the first phone call. A buyer arrives on the over-dimensional page from a search for exactly that, sees the vehicle types, reads the FAQ, and either rules themselves out or requests a quote already knowing what is on offer. The conversations that reach the phone start further along.

Just as importantly, the business stopped depending on being already known. Five service pages and a blog give Google five separate reasons to show Big Wheels to somebody who has never heard of them — which is the difference between a website that is a brochure and one that is a channel.
